Welcome to our Parish website
St. Paul in his letter sent “greetings to the church of God which is in Corinth” and “to the church of the Thessalonians.” He was not writing to buildings. By church he meant the people of Corinth, the people of Thessalonica.
The word “church” refers primarily to the living “temple of God built of living stones, where the Father is worshipped in spirit and in truth.”
We, the living stones of the church of St. James, are called to worship together, to love and serve one another, and with that love and service flowing naturally to the larger community.
As we are called to love another, it appears we must first know one another. May this website be an additional means to help us grow in knowledge and love of one another and of Jesus Christ, the uniting force of our love and service.
Peace in Christ,
Father Jim O’Blaney, C.Ss.R.
