The Program for Singers
Singers for this Program do not need to have had voice lessons or be able to read music. This Program works well for the average musically talented person who has a church pew voice. Voices need to be in the low range (approximately F below Middle C to B above Middle C) and must be able to sing "on key/or pitch."
This Program is very intentional and requires a Program Coordinator who must be either a volunteer or health care professional for the facility or hospice using the Program. This Program Coordinator can also be one of the Singers for this Program.
At the bedside of the dying, your Singers will be guided and supported by the recorded voice and instrument of a professional therapeutic bedside musician. The following repertoires (CD's and songbooks) are available for use in this Program:
- Nondenominational/Secular
- Catholic
- Protestant
- Jewish
Go to the CD page for a description of the different CD's available.
Each Singer receives an extensive training manual, practice/rehearsal CD's and songbooks for the repertoires in use by your facility or organization. The rehearsal CDs for the Singers are not intended for use at the bedside. Separate CDs for use at the bedside come with each Program.
Guided Angels Ministry provides 5 songbooks for each repertoire in use by your facility that can be used by the bedside family members.
Each Program is supplied with one At Peace CD for bedside use as well.
The Program Coordinator receives the Coordinators Manual as well as a Singers Training Manual. The Coordinators Manual has numerous organizational aids in it to assist in the organizing and operation of this Program. Guided Angels Ministry is also readily available to freely offer over-the-phone support as needed. Workshops on providing recorded or live bedside music can also be scheduled.
This Program can be purchased for use by one Singer, individually, or in discount package of 5 Singers or 10 Singers. Your Singers will minister with song individually or in groups of two or three Singers.
Contact Guided Angels Ministry by phone or email for a proposal:
The cost of the Program is based on the number of repertoires being used, any group discounts that may apply, and additional equipment (such as a battery operated CD player) that you may want to purchase along with the Program. Go to the Equipment page for more information.
